I'm 27, live in NYC, and work for Spotify.
I finished my Master's in Digital Media Design at Harvard in Dec 2025,
so in my spare time, I sometimes create apps and websites for fun.
I hike, run, watch F1 on the weekends, and bake from time to time.

With background in both mathematics and design, I'm very passionate about creating better user experiences based on data and user research.
My background
I was born in Boston and moved to Moscow at a very young age. After finishing high school in Russia, I moved to US and completed my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics & Statistics at Boston University.
Since graduating in January 2020, I have been working as a data scientist, conducting statistical analyses and creating data insights visualizations. Previously, I led Human Evaluations for Apple Music and Apple Music Classical at Apple. Currently, I work as a Quantitative User Researcher for Spotify.
Alongside my full-time job, I have completed my Master's program in Design of Digital Media at Harvard, and I am continuing to educate myself on the ever-changing UX industry day to day. My full professional portfolio can be found at kategorbunova.com.
